How to request the Youtube Official Artist channel?

Introduction

Official Artist Channels on YouTube automatically organize the music catalog of an artist into two sections: albums & singles, and music videos.

 

Conditions

Having an Official Artist Channel on YouTube is related to having a "Topic Channel". That means, if an End User wants to have an Official Artist Channel it is necessary to accomplish the following conditions:

  • To have their own Topic Channel.
  • At least one music video was provided by a music distribution partner in the Artist YT Channel.
  • The Topic Channel and the Own Channel must have the same artist name.
  • You have distributed at least three songs with TuneControl.

 

When is an owned channel not eligible for the application?

Owned channels that contain the following characteristics will not be managed by YouTube:

  • Empty channels
  • Fan channels
  • Wrong artists (different names)
  • House channels
  • Multi-artist channels
  • Non-music channels
  • Vevo channels
